Driver Safety

Driving at the Lab is a privilege and you are responsible for driving safely in accordance with the law. Here are some safety tips to keep in mind:

• Follow the posted speed limit. The speed limit onsite is 15 mph unless otherwise posted.

• Look out for pedestrians and wildlife onsite. 

• Yield to pedestrians at crosswalks.

• Be cautious when backing up for other vehicles and pedestrians

• Maintain a least a 3ft distance from cyclists. 

Operating a Fleet Vehicle

Drivers must take a one time online training, FAC0021 Government Vehicle Driver Briefing to be authorized to drive a government vehicle. By signing out a vehicle to drive you are certifying that you have taken this training and are authorized to drive the vehicle.
